A Southern Michigan Railroad train, with locomotive O&M #57 and caboose NYC #21692 is seen northbound, just south of Tecumseh, Michigan, on 17 October 1987. The “Yard Limit” sign indicates the start of the Tecumseh yard, where the train must proceed with caution, expecting other trains to be occupying the track.

The crew is tired after a long day of fall color tours, and will soon be putting the train away for the night.
